Step 1: Adult Volunteer Requirements
- Commit to serving at least one regularly scheduled, 3-4 hour shift per week with a minimum requirement of 100 hours per year
Consent for a criminal background check to be completed by Children's Medical Center
Provide immunization history, specifically the dates for the following:
Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination and booster
Varicella vaccinations (2 doses) or blood test confirming immunity
Tetanus immunization (must be within the last 10 years)
Current season Influenza vaccine
Submit to TB testing upon acceptance to volunteer program
Purchase a volunteer uniform ranging from $25-$30
Adhere to the volunteer code of ethics
Complete all volunteer trainings (Information Session, General Orientation and role specific training)
