Join us for the 2nd annual Red Balloon Run & Relay! All funds raised by Red Balloon Run & Relay participants will benefit Children's Medical Center. We rely on your generosity to continue to provide world-class care to each child who walks through our doors. All participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100. Start fundraising today.

To participate,  register  for one of the following:

• 1k kids fun run and walk
• 5k fun run and walk
• 20k relay (teams of 2 - 4 people)

Because this event is held on the campus of our hospital, we ask that you please refrain from bringing pets.

Get started today:

1. Register.  Join an existing team, start a new team or participate as an individual.
2. Fundraise. Every Red Balloon Run & Relay participant is encouraged to raise at least $100. After you register, use the fundraising toolkit for helpful hints and suggestions on ways you can fundraise.
3. Join us! Gather your friends and family to participate in the event with you or to cheer you on as you run or walk across the finish line.

Course Details

All courses will be completely coned off and traffic free with support from the Plano Police Department ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience for runners and walkers and a fun viewing experience for family, friends and co-workers.

1k and 5k Fun Run and Walk

The 5k and kids 1k fun run courses start and finish at Children's Medical Center at Legacy in Plano.

20k Relay

Relay teams can be comprised of all men, all women or co-ed. Teams must include a minimum of 2 team members and a maximum of 4 members, allowing individuals the option to run more than one leg for their team. Relay participants will run each of the legs in sequential order on the 5k course.

Registration Fees

• Adults - $35
• Children under 12 - $15
• Children under 5 - Free
• Chip timing - $5

Registration will also be available on-site on race day beginning at 7 a.m. There will be a $5 additional fee for same-day registration. All chip fees still apply.

The Children's Red Balloon Run & Relay is one of the three 2011 fundraising programs produced by Passion for Children's for the exclusive benefit of Children's Medical Center, and participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 as part of participation in this event.

Children's needs your support in order to continue to care for children in their greatest time of need. 100% of the money you raise goes directly to Children's. You can have a direct impact and be the difference!
