Sagittal Extended Strip: Sergio

Sagittal Craniosynostosis Top-250Sergio presented to our craniofacial team at 10 days of age for evaluation of his head shape. His preoperative photos at age 3 months are shown on the left. Note the fullness of his forehead and pinched look to the temple area. His head is longer than normal, and the back half of the head is narrow resulting in a pointed look to the back of the head. Sergio was diagnosed with sagittal suture craniosynostosis and was treated with an extended strip craniectomy with postoperative helmeting at age 3 months. His postoperative photos are on the right.
