From Anita Torres
I have been an Adolphus associate for 27 years so I remember the first parade before it was televised! I have only missed being downtown for one parade and that was 1991 when our son, Paul, was born in late November. It is always so special to see all the volunteers who proudly wear all their parade pins to show the years they have been involved. For most of my volunteer years, I have been posted at Field and Commerce Streets during the parade which means I get to hear and see how excited the children are. And - I always get a lump in my throat when that first entry makes it way down the street! I am proud to be a part of The Adolphus staff and this special event!
