When will the 2009 parade be held?
Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10 a.m. CST

Where is the parade?
The parade will travel through the streets of downtown Dallas.

How can I find out about participating in the parade?
You can download a parade entry form (PDF) online and mail it in with pictures to David Davis at The Adolphus.

Do I have to pay to attend the parade?
No. There's free seating on a first come, first served basis. However, tickets can be purchased for reserved bleacher seating at $20 each.

Can I buy tickets online?
Yes. You will be able to purchase tickets online starting October 1. Sidewalk seating is free along the parade route.

What time should we arrive to get a good seat?
The early risers arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., but we recommend that you arrive by 7 a.m. to get a good seat.

Are folding chairs permitted at the parade?
Yes, and blankets and sleeping bags too!

Is disabled seating available at the parade?
Yes. On Commerce Street there will be a designated handicap section across from the Manor House Apartments. At City Hall Plaza, the designated handicap section will be across from City Hall. Both areas will be opened to the public at 9:45 a.m. if they are not full.

How can I get directions to the parade?
Because our guests come from all over the region, we suggest visiting maps.google.com, www.mapquest.com or maps.yahoo.com and using The Adolphus address for your destination.

Where is parking available downtown?
If you drive your own car, there are multiple street and garage lots for public parking. You can also ride the DART Rail to the parade. Visit the DART website at www.dart.org for more information. The parade route is only a few blocks from the Akard Station, the West End Station, Union Station and the Convention Center Station.

What hotels are located downtown within walking distance of the parade route?
We can only promote our sponsor, The Adolphus. However, the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau website gives information about additional downtown hotels.

Is there a parade lost and found?
Yes. Items found will be turned in to the concierge desk at The Adolphus.

What channel will air the parade if I want to watch or record it at home?
The parade will be broadcast live on WFAA-TV Channel 8 and syndicated nationally throughout the holiday season. Broadcast information will be posted closer to the event.
