Families & Guests
It’s important for your child to see friendly, familiar faces while in the hospital. It’s also important to make sure that patients are not exposed to any contagious illnesses like the seasonal flu, a cold, or any other infections.
When you arrive, all family, friends and guests will be asked a series of screening questions by our guest relations staff. If guests are found to be free of illness, badges will be issued to indicate that you have been screened. Please wear your badge at all times when you are in the hospital.
Please do not visit the hospital if you are suffering from or have been exposed to contagious illnesses, such as a cold or chicken pox. To help you plan ahead, please do not visit if you have:
A fever of 100 or higher
A cough that produces mucus
Diarrhea or vomiting
Been exposed to Tuberculosis (TB), chicken pox, Measles, Mumps and/or Rubella
Exceptions may be made for patient parents and legal guardians. Please inquire about exceptions at the front desk when you arrive at Children’s.
