Chapels & Worship Services

For those seeking a place of quiet and inspiration, the Haggerty Chapel at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and the Abbott Chapel at Children’s Medical Center at Legacy, are available 24 hours a day. Countless patients, families and staff members use these places of worship, prayer and meditation every day.

The Haggerty Chapel  is located on the lower level of Tower C just off the main corridor that connects Towers B, C, and D. The chapel is a place for quiet thought, reflection and prayer. The, stained glass windows were designed by an artist to capture the emotional and existential experience of families with children in the hospital.

The Abbott Chapel at Legacy was named after the Abbott family whose generosity and love of children was conveyed in their choice of scripture from Psalm 127:3 which is engraved on the dedication plaque located at the entrance to the chapel: “Children are a gift from God, they are his reward.” The chapel serves as a quiet place of prayer, meditation and centering for patients, families and staff. The mural on the chapel’s walls by local artists, the Davies Brothers, was also made possible thanks to the generosity of the Abbott family.
