PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

The ASHP Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Children’s Medical Center is a one year program designed to provide a comprehensive experience in a variety of pediatric pharmacy practice settings.  The program is customized to meet learning experience requirements for the development of well-rounded residency graduates.  The goals and objectives of the program are achieved through core, elective and longitudinal learning experiences.  In addition, the resident will identify, develop and complete an original research project suitable for publication.

Staffing

The staffing commitment will be an average of every 3rd weekend on any shift or combination of hours and may consist of any practice area within the department, including ambulatory.  Holiday staffing will include 1 major (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day) and 2 minor (Labor Day, Memorial Day) holidays.

Application

 For successful completion of the application, the following must be submitted to the residency program director:

 A pre-employment screening process will follow the receipt of your application, and will include a criminal background check, verification of prior employment, drug screen, physical, and evidence of authorization to work in the United States

Application materials must be post-marked (receipt confirmation is recommended) by January 7th, 2012.  After receipt of all applications candidates will be selected to interview beginning the first week of February.
