Live surgery workshop and webinar for hypospadias repair*

This workshop will analyze options for straighteing penile curvature, urethroplasty and skin management for primary and re-operative repairs based on review of published data, supplemented with live surgical demonstrations. The course is designed for pediatric urologists and surgeons performing hypospadias repair. The course will also discuss quality assessment for individual surgeons to use in improving their outcomes from hypospadias repair, as well as means to improve academic reporting of surgical results.

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for pediatric urologists and surgeons performing hypospadias repair.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
- Describe an expanded, step-by-step algorithm for straightening penile curvature while preserving the urethral plate for urethroplasty
- Indicate technical factors to reduce urethroplasty complications
- Recognize non-urethroplasty steps in hypospadias surgery including tunica vaginalis barrier flap, buccal mucosa harvest, and foreskin reconstruction
Audience Participation
We invite attendees to bring examples of your difficult hypospadias cases - past and present - to review during afternoon Case Discussions. We will have the ability to view images and pertinent studies as our surgical panel discusses management options.
