Course Overview
A one-day review course of the prenatal diagnosis management of Congenital Heart Defects. This course features nationally-renowned guest faculty, Diane Twickler, M.D., Dennis Wood, RDMS, and Pediatric Cardiology and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists from UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Course Objectives
• Describe how to diagnose fetal anemia and the effect on the fetal heart
• Describe the most common causes of SVT in the fetus
• Describe how to use the 3 vessel view
• Describe the the Huhta Cardiovascular Profile
• Identify the different types of fetal cardiac masses
• Describe the characteristics of fetal lung masses
• Discuss specific MRI findings of the fetal thorax
• Review associated non-cardiac findings in complex fetal abnormalities
• Discuss the significance of a persistent right umbilical vein
• Identify dextrocardia and the significance of this
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for OB Ultrasonographers, Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, Obstetricians, Neonatologists, Pediatric Cardiologists, Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasonographers and Registered Nurses.
Accreditation
Children’s Medical Center is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Children’s Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Credit Designation

Registration Fees
The registration fee of $250 (Physicians), $200 (Non-Physicians) entitles the participants admission to the conference, all course materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and lunch.
Registration is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee. We are unable to process any registration without payment.

Returned Check Policy
An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.
