7th Annual Children’s Medical Center Transfusion & Laboratory Medicine Conference

Purpose and Content

Laboratory Services at Children’s Medical Center will host the Seventh Annual Transfusion & Laboratory Medicine Conference to cost-efficiently educate registrants on transfusion medicine and clinical lab work.

Who Should Attend

All laboratory professionals – managers, supervisors and technologists who work in the field of medical technology, laboratory medicine or a related field – should attend. Students pursuing a career in the laboratory/pathology field are also welcome to attend.

Accreditation

Children’s Medical Center is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® program.

Education levels:

  • Basic (B): Entry level; no prior knowledge of subject necessary.

  • Intermediate (I): Refresher courses; some basic knowledge required; for experienced staff technologist with some year of experience.

  • Advanced (A): Highly technical; for those with current skills/knowledge and extensive experience in a specialty area.

Program Content: This conference is designed to promote educational opportunities in Clinical Laboratory Medicine.

Credit Designation (CNE, CRCE)

18 P.A.C.E.® (6 credits per day)

Conflict of Interest

It is Children’s Medical Center’s policy that participants in Continuing Education Credit activities should be made aware of any affiliation or financial interest that may affect the speaker’s presentations. Each speaker has completed and signed a conflict of interest statement. The faculty members’ relationships will be disclosed in the conference materials.

Registration Information

Attendees may register by mail or online. Space is limited. Please register early.

Registration Fees

Children’s Medical Center Employees: FREE
Non-employees:

  • Entire Conference (three days) – $125

  • Two full days – $100

  • One full day – $50

  • Half day – $35 per day

  • Student – $25 per day 

Registration fee entitles the participant admission to the conference, parking, access to vendors, continental breakfast, refreshment break, and lunch.

Registration is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee. We are unable to process any registration without payment.

Checks will only be accepted via the printed version of the registration form sent by direct mail. Checks can be made payable to Children's Medical Center. To pay by check, please enclose the completed, detachable registration form along with a check. Mail check and registration form to:

Returned Check Policy

An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.
