Course Overview

The 7th Annual Advanced Practice Conference is aimed at educating health care providers on a variety of topics specific to the pediatric population.  Information gained will help providers broaden their scope of knowledge including disease processes specific to pediatric pulmonology, cardiology, dermatology, allergy, neurology, and otolaryngology. 

Course Objectives

  1. Educate attendees on a wide variety of relevant medical topics addressed by pediatric specialists.
  2. Provide attendees access to educational resources in order to facilitate up to date patient care across the continuum for infants, children, and adolescents.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this educational activity is to enhance the knowledge of the health care professional working in the area of pediatrics by addressing a wide variety of topics focused on pediatric specialties in an effort to improve the delivery of safe and up-to-date care to this vulnerable population.

Who Should Attend

The target audience includes advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and registered nurses within primary care and specialty roles.

Accreditation

Accreditation Children’s Medical Center is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation

Credit Designation (CME) Children’s Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Credit Designation (CNE) Children’s Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Conflict of Interest

It is Children’s Medical Center’s policy that participants in CME activities should be made aware of any affiliation or financial interest that may affect the speaker’s presentations. Each speaker has completed and signed a conflict of interest statement. The faculty members’ relationships will be disclosed in the conference materials.

Attendees may register by mail or online.  Space is limited.  Please register early.

  • $125 -  Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians & Nurses
  • $100 -  Students
  • $25  - Additional cost for suturing workshop 
     

Payment must accompany the registration form for it to be processed. Once registration has been processed, a confirmation email will be sent. To pay by check, please enclose the registration form along with a check. Checks can be made payable to Children's Medical Center.

Returned Check Policy

An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Refund requests must be received in writing at least two weeks prior to the conference. No refunds will be made thereafter.
