Purpose and Content
The purpose of the symposium is to provide knowledge to physicians and other health care professionals who care for children. To accomplish this, a series of talks, including a half day subspecialty session, emphasizing new information will be presented with ample time for questions from the audience. All attendees will receive printed materials to assist in applying the information to their practice.
Course Objectives
- Discuss new antibiotic usage and treatment strategies for acute and chronic otitis media and urinary tract infections
- Discuss and evaluate the use of new drugs and management of selected infections
- Evaluate patients with headaches, eczema and asthma and implement updated treatments for these diseases
- Recognize common radiologic findings in pediatric diseases
- Evaluate, counsel and treat patients who participate in athletics and develop a variety of complications such as heat illness, concussions and common knee injuries.
- Acknowledge and discuss the latest information related to out of hospital sudden death and CPR statistics
Who Should Attend
The conference is designed for pediatricians, family practice physicians, emergency medicine physicians, pediatric subspecialist, pediatric nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who wish to update their knowledge on important topics in pediatric care.
Accreditation
Children’s Medical Center is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation
Children’s Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The registration fee of $325 (Physicians), $275 (UT Southwestern Alumni, Children's Medical Staff), $275 (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) entitles the participants admission to the conference, all course materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and lunch.
Registration is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee. We are unable to process any registration without payment.

Returned Check Policy
An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.
