15th Scott Storm Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Nursing Seminar
Overview
The Scott Storm Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Nursing Seminar will provide a comprehensive look at the care of children with cancer and blood disorders. Clinical experts will challenge participants in the areas of research, assessment, treatment modalities and supportive care. The content has been designed to benefit nurses and other healthcare providers in hospitals and ambulatory settings.
Scott Storm was diagnosed with leukemia at age 3 and was treated at Children’s Medical Center until he lost his battle with cancer at age 11. In memory of Scott, his family established a foundation to support the cause of nursing education in pediatric oncology. Over the past 21 years, the Scott Storm Foundation has provided financial support for nurses to attend national conferences, perform research resulting in publication and offered ongoing support of the Scott Storm Seminar.
