Children's is a private, not-for-profit hospital system that does not receive direct state or local tax dollars. We serve one in every five children in the greater Dallas area and one in every four in the Legacy region.   • Charity Care

    We will not turn our backs on any child in need. More than half of the patients we treat need some type of financial assistance. Children's provides tens of millions of dollars in charitable care each year - whether it's covering the full medical bill or supplementing what insurance doesn't cover.

  • Research

    We are an academic medical center. Through our affiliation with UT Southwestern, four Nobel Prize winners (more than any other medical school), dozens of leading scientists, and hundreds of medical specialists conduct research that is impacting the treatment of children worldwide.

  • Patient & Family Services

    Many of the most meaningful services we provide are not covered by insurance. Yet, programs like Child Life and Pastoral Care are key components in our commitment to family-focused care, helping children cope with hospitalization and providing spiritual guidance and emotional support to families.
