School Services
At Children's Medical CenterSchool Consult Program
Parents and guardians often need assistance with various school concerns or issues that arise during or after a hospital stay. We provide consultations for families to assess what their school concerns are and how their needs can be met. The following are examples of consultation services provided:
- Assist parents with the navigation of the school systems to obtain special services for their child
- Facilitating in school reintegration and successful transition of patients into their community school
- Reducing the number of patients retained in a grade based on absenteeism
- Providing IDEA/504 recommendations for educational services in a patient's community school
