On Saturday, Dec. 6, children of all ages will see their dreams come to life at Dallas' annual holiday celebration with "Santa's Whimsical Workshop" – the Neiman Marcus Adolphus Children's Parade taking place in downtown Dallas.
Now in its 21st year, the nationally televised parade, benefiting the Child Life department at Children's, will captivate and entertain crowds with familiar costume characters, colorful floats and giant inflatable balloons.
The parade's tradition of theme-based floats will continue again this year by including scenes from Santa's workshop. Parade goers will be able to see floats depicting the North Pole, Mrs. Claus' Kitchen and Santa in his sleigh. Giant inflatables will include Horton Hears a Who, Mr. Potato Head and My Little Pony; characters will include Spiderman, Clifford, Strawberry Shortcake, Madeline, Arthur and Bugs Bunny; and traditional parade features will include high-stepping equestrian units, dazzling dancers and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The Neiman Marcus Adolphus Children's Parade is free and open to the public. Limited bleacher seating is available for $20 per ticket until sold out. For more information about the parade, tickets or directions, visit the parade website at www.childrens.com/parade.
