Ever want a sneak peek into a hospital before having to visit in person? Doing so at Children's Medical Center now is possible, allowing patients and families the chance to stroll around the hospital from the comfort of their own homes.
A new virtual tour of Children's gives the opportunity to get acquainted with the hospital's facilities and services before visiting them for real.
The 360-degree tour highlights the state-of-the-art technology and child-friendly atmosphere of the Children's Dallas campus, with similar images of Children's Legacy appearing online in the coming weeks. The virtual tour combines panoramic and user-friendly visuals with helpful accompanying text that may help soon-to-be patients and their families to become more comfortable with the idea of going to the hospital.
Features of use to families include views of the visitor parking garage, the entrance and the atrium of the Children's Ambulatory Care Pavilion, the skybridge walkway and a typical patient hospital room. Additionally, families can virtually check out a teen playroom, the Haggerty Chapel, the Family Resource Library, the Dining Car cafeteria and other dining options.
Families also can view and read information on various pediatric intensive care unit and an MRI in Radiology.
