Children’s Medical Center Joins America’s Team at Plano Sports Authority

Coaching clinics, healthcare activities and fun family events planned

WHAT: Dallas Cowboys Winter Sports Day at the Plano Sports Authority (PSA)

WHEN: Saturday, February 17, 2007, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

WHERE: Plano Sports Authority, 6500 Preston Meadow Drive, Plano, TX 75024

WHY: More than 14,000 kids will be in attendance for the final day of the Plano Sports Authority’s regular basketball season.


DETAILS: More than 14,000 kids are expected at the Plano Sports Authority this Saturday for the Dallas Cowboys Winter Sports Day. Children’s Medical Center joins the Cowboys, the Dallas Desperados and their cheerleaders for a day of family fun.

Attendees can count on hourly coaching clinics with former Cowboys coach Joe Avezzano, face painting, tours of a Children’s Medical Center ambulance and lots of giveaways. Kids and big kids, alike, will enjoy the Dallas Cowboys Traveling Road Show, a portable museum of some of the most treasured pieces of Dallas Cowboys memorabilia including the team’s five Vince Lombardi championship trophies, Super Bowl rings, and vintage team equipment.

Children’s Medical Center is responding to the growing pediatric population in North Texas. The Ambulatory Care Pavilion in Legacy opened its doors for outpatient care in 2006. Children’s Medical Center Legacy, a 72 bed pediatric hospital being built at the southwest corner of Preston and Hedgcoxe Roads in Plano, will open in early 2008.

Please note this event is NOT at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. This event is at the Plano Sports Authority at 6500 Preston Meadow Drive in Plano, Texas.
