Critical Care Services
At Children's Medical Center
Community Liaison
Primary care physicians are provided with ongoing information about their patients in critical care at Children's through the Critical Care Services community liaison.
In addition to communicating with primary care and referring physicians, liaison Vicky Pierce, R.N., B.S.N., also collaborates with hospital staff, case managers and social workers to ensure quality patient and family care.
Because of the acuity of patients in the Children's pediatric intensive care unit, communication and feedback from our staff to the physicians is essential.
