2009-2010 Highlights
The Women's Auxiliary Gift Committee met in May 2010 to allocate the $680,000 raised by the Auxiliary this year. Their hard work enabled them to fund the following:
- $525,000 Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Outpatient Clinic, Day Hospital and Pharmacy – Mabee Challenge Grant
- $40,000 Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Electronics Package and Food Baskets
- $35,000 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – In-House Transport Isolette
- $25,000 Women's Auxiliary Scholarship Fund
- $25,000 Children's Art Therapy Program
- $25,000 Pledge to Children's at Legacy facilities
- $5,000 Pediatric Eating Disorders Program
Nancy Johnson, a Children's volunteer, encourages creativity as she leads an arts and crafts session with Billy Fielder, 5, and Madalyn White, 8, in the C10 playroom. In 2009, volunteers contributed more than 133,000 hours to make life better for children.
