Family Night at Six Flags

Over the last 42 years, Family Night at Six Flags has proven to be a memorable event and has become an annual tradition for many Texas families. The 2011 Family Night at Six Flags is scheduled for Friday, April 1, 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. with something for everyone throughout the 212-acre park from pulse pounding roller coasters for big kids to the gentler options in the land of Looney Tunes.

Plan to enjoy the fun evening with family and friends as we support and celebrate the vital treasure that is Children's.

Critical care needs funded by the Auxiliary through Family Night at Six Flags sponsorships have included life-support and surgical equipment, patient service improvements, intensive care needs and critical training programs.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of local corporate sponsors.

Breakfast with Santa

Since December 1989, families have greeted Santa over a delicious seated breakfast during the annual Breakfast with Santa event held in the ballroom of the Adolphus Hotel. Scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2010 immediately preceding the Children's Medical Center Holiday Parade presented by Capital One Bank, this event has become a tradition that quickly sells out and features pictures with Santa, live entertainment, and reserved bleacher seats to watch what is now known as the "Miracle on Commerce Street."

Lights at Legacy Tree Lighting

Kick off the holiday season at the Annual Tree Lighting at the Shops at Legacy. Family fun includes activities for children and adults alike. The Women's Auxiliary to Children's at Legacy will host several activities and raise funds that will benefit Children's. This event date is not yet confirmed but mid November on a Sunday is traditionally when it is planned. We will be selling Christmas cards, handing out antlers to the children to wear and of course the popular Rudolph nose that blinks. Music, food, friends and family make this event one not to miss!! All those who volunteered for this event will be contacted at the beginning of September to have a meeting to coordinate this fun kick off to the holidays. For more information on the Lights at Legacy Tree Lighting, please contact Susan Spindler.
