Fiesta Outreach Volunteer Registration

For the last 3 years, the Dallas CHIP coalition has partnered with area supermarkets to provide families with the access they need to apply for health insurance. Our next Children's Health Insurance Outreach event will be held at nine Fiesta Mart stores in the Dallas area:

Volunteers will assist families with the Medicaid and CHIP applications and answering questions they might have. While volunteers do not have to be bilingual, Spanish speakers are needed.

Volunteer training

All volunteers will be trained on the application process and will be paired with a team captain from the Dallas CHIP coalition. Volunteers not trained within the last six months are required to attend one of the following sessions.

• First volunteer training session - February 12, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the Dallas County Health Department. The address is 2377 Stemmons Freeway, WIC 4th Floor Classroom, Dallas, Texas.
• Second volunteer training session - February 18, 2010 at 4:30 PM at the Children's Dallas Ambulatory Pavilion, 2350 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas. The training will be held on the 3rd floor of the Pavilion, Longhorn Conference room.
