Legacy
Children's Medical Center Legacy extends the world-class service of our system to the growing number of families north of Dallas and beyond. The medical staff includes specialists from UT Southwestern, providing a vast base of talent and knowledge. Located at 7601 Preston Road in Plano, the campus sits on a 155-acre site with "green space" preserved to provide an environment of healing and tranquility for patients and families.

The inpatient portion of our Legacy campus features 36 beds, four state-of-the-art operating rooms, 24-7 emergency services, and full-service laboratory, pharmacy and imaging services.
The Legacy campus was designed with patients and families in mind, down to the sparkle in the floor and the large kinetic sculpture hanging in our main atrium. With the 90-year-old oak tree blowing in the breeze, horses grazing in the adjacent field, and a stream bubbling through our outdoor patio, the soothing feeling of nature is all around you at Legacy. Patient rooms, family rooms and waiting areas all include large windows that allow for a view of the outside and for the natural light to spill through the halls.
The campus also features a family resource library, where patients and families have access to print and digital consumer health information, children's literature and leisure materials and personalized reference and research assistance by professional librarians. Families also have access to the specially trained child life specialists and playrooms designed just for kids in addition to translation, pastoral care and guest relations services.
Ambulatory Care Pavilion
The Legacy Ambulatory Care Pavilion, which is attached to the main hospital, offers the largest suburban group of pediatric specialists in the nation.
